This year's show features two brand new and expanded locations - an indoor venue at BC Place, and an in-water venue at the Granville Island Maritime Market and Marina - where guests can explore hundreds of boats and boating accessories, and gain expert advice from the best in the boating business.

Two New Venues: Over 250 exhibitors will showcase the latest boats and marine products with the best deals of the year. At the Granville Island Maritime Market and Marina visitors can enjoy free boat rides, or just take in the incredible sights of one of Vancouver's most iconic destinations.
Russell Newberry: The swash-buckling deckhand of the Discovery Channel's hit documentary/reality series Deadliest Catch, which chronicles the frigid conditions and perilous risks aboard fishing vessels in the Bering Sea, debuts in Canada to sign autographs and share tales of what it's really like to risk it all in the world's most dangerous job.
Derek Hatfield: Not only is he one of only 126 people to have ever sailed solo around the world, Derek has done it twice, earning him a hero's welcome home. Since his record-breaking success at the Velux 5 Oceans Single Handed Round the World Yacht Race, Derek has been breaking boundaries and making headlines. He'll be at the boat show to talk about his podium finish and world-class racing career.
Duma, The Wakeboarding and Boat Driving Dog: The beloved seven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier is making a splash as she debuts her incredible wakeboarding skills and impressive sailing technique at the Vancouver International Boat Show. Decked out in her custom lifevest and goggles, she'll be wowing audiences of all ages with daily shows at BC Place before meeting with fans for photos, autographs, and more!
Zac Sunderland & Abby Sunderland: Siblings Zac & Abby will speak separately about each of their adventures on the perilous open seas. Zac will share tales of the violent storms, and real life pirates he encountered while on his record-setting solo sailing journey around the world at age 16, while his younger sister Abby will talk about her attempt to solo the globe - and the disastrous storm that destroyed her boat and ended her journey, but couldn't diminish her spirit.
Learn from the Best: Due to the immense popularity of the Seminar Series, the show has added a second stage this year. Highlights include author Glenora Doherty, who will discuss her life voyage and sailing adventures after the sudden and unexpected death of her skipper; and Dominique Prinet, an expert Power and Sail Instructor, whose lifelong passion for boating has taken him through exotic waters around the globe.
